A broad-spectrum Virucidal disinfectant for the livestock industry, applicable as an aid in improved hygiene management, effective against viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores
USE DIRECTIONS:
Terminal Disinfection
Use at 1:200 to 1:100 and apply either by low-pressure spray or with a suitable foaming unit.
Hatcheries
1:200 to 1:100 either by low-pressure spray or with a suitable foaming unit.
Water Sanitation
Use at a dilution of 1:200 at clean-out, dosing the header tank, leave for at least one hour, and then drain the system. With continuous water sanitation via drinking water use at a rate of 1:1000.
Aerial Disinfection
Use a suitable mechanical mister or knapsack sprayer to apply the product at a rate of 1:200, using at least one litre of solution per 10m3 of space.
Foot dips
Use at a rate of 1:100 and replenish weekly or when heavily soiled.
Meat and Food Process Plants
Virotech is suitable for use as a combination cleaner and potent sanitiser for all working surfaces without having any detrimental effect on materials of construction i.e. metals, plastics etc. Use at a rate of 1:100.
Equipment

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
PERSONAL PROTECTION:
Respiratory: Use a dust mask or a mist respirator N95 to avoid inhalation of fine dust particles
Hands: Wear PVC or Rubber Gloves
Eyes: Wear protective goggles or a full face shield
Skin: Wear protective overalls
FIRST AID MEASURES:
INHALATION | Irritant to nose, throat, lungs, respiratory tract | Remove to fresh air. If symptoms of coughing, choking, or wheezing prove troublesome, or recovery not rapid, seek medical attention |
SKIN CONTACT | May cause irritation, especially under moist conditions | Drench skin with plenty of water, and remove contaminated clothing. If irritation persists after rinsing with water consult the medical advisor |
EYE CONTACT | May cause eye damage | Rinse thoroughly with clean water of buffered eye wash for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention |
INGESTION | May cause severe irritation to mouth, throat, digestive tract and stomach | Do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water or milk if conscious. Obtain immediate medical attention |
PROPERTIES:
COMPOSITION | A 100 % synergistic blend of organic acids surfactants and biocides. |
APPEARANCE | Pink powder with a faint lemon odour. |
ACTIVITY | A strong oxidising agent |
STABILITY | Powder stable for up to 3 years at 20 °C |
A 1 % SOLUTION | A 10 % loss of the initial activity after 7 days |
SOLUBILITY | Readily soluble in tepid water giving a clear pink solution |
CORROSIVITY | No corrosive effects on mild or stainless steel when used as directed |
HYDROGEN ION CONCENTRATION | A 1 % solution has a PH of ≥ 2 |
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
At the recommended dilution rate all the ingredients are either decomposed and/or biodegraded and are comparatively harmless. The triple salt of Potassium Mono per-sulphate will decompose into harmless by-products and should pose no problems to sewerage treatment processes.
BIODEGRADABILITY:
The product consists mainly of inorganic salts which decompose into harmless by-products. The surfactant is a salt of a straight chain alkyl benzene sulphonate and gives more than 90% biodegradability.
IRRITANCY:
At 1 % in use dilution the product is classified as non-irritant to skin, non-irritant to eyes.
